Copying service
Concrete Vault is supported by the Concrete Society’s Information Services and the resources of its library. Copies of items identified on the database may be requested. Most can be supplied as a photocopy or emailed as a PDF. We aim to supply most requests within a working day and in specific circumstances can arrange to supply by return. Our current charge for the copying service is generally £5 + VAT per item (£3 for members), though this may vary according to the source of material copied or the size of order.

Alternatively, more extensive items will be more suitable for loan, a facility available to members of the Concrete Society only. Personal visits to view material in the library can also be arranged and are free to members. A charge applies to non-members.

Copyright

Copying published material is subject to copyright law. In the UK this is the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, which limits copying to one article per journal; one paper per conference; or one chapter (or 5%) of a book. The law requires users to complete and sign a copyright declaration which can be found under the ‘Request form’ link and is attached to any lists you generate from the ‘Output’ button.

The Copyright Licensing Agency sets a fee for items not used for private research. Currently the fee for commercial research is £9.00 + VAT but changes will be reflected in the request form, along with further details of the copyright law.

A copyright form with payment is required before your order can be despatched.
